A seat box trolley is one of the most common types of trolleys you’ll find on display. It basically has a single handle. It stands upright, which is pretty much like a golf cart. It has a box where you place all your gear and tools. Some models have out rig arms that give support to the box.

The wheels are usually set with a larger width than that of the box, which gives added balance and support. You basically load all your stuff in the box and pile up the rest on top of it. You then pull the entire weight of all your gear and let it roll after you.

In contrast, a carryall trolley is tubular in shape. It also has a platform that is also shaped like a tube. You basically load your carryall in the platform and it may even include space for your folding chair. This is also an upright type of fishing trolley so the wheel base will also set wider than the platform. Some models have an adjustable wheel base that allows you to fit in both folding chair and carryall.

Barrow type trolleys are basically designed in contrast to the previous two general designs. They do not stand upright but work like carts that you can pull around. Some trolleys of this type have four wheels others are designed with extra wheels while some designs have fewer than four wheels.

Electric trolleys are a rather new innovation. These trolleys are powered by electricity so you don’t really have to exert a lot of effort rolling all the weight. Some of these trolleys are up right while others are barrow type. This additional feature will come at a sizeable cost when you buy them, unless you get them in places where prices are discounted.

Tips for Buyers

If you’re getting a carryall type trolley then you should opt for the one that has a canvass zipper. You can store the foldable trolley inside the bag and close the zipper whenever you’re done for the day. You should get a fishing trolley that is constructed with a robust steel frame.

When it comes to tires, many people prefer pneumatic tires especially those that are designed for easy clean up in case you roll over some mud along the way. The overall weight of your trolley should be lighter than a several bags of ground bait. A fishing trolley can get really heavy if you load it with lots of gear and equipment.
